Manuscripts were copied on Palm Leaves. A manuscript is a written record of information that was created by hand. Writing was done on both sides of the leaves. Long rectangular strips were stacked on top of each other, holes were bored through all of the leaves, and the book was bound with string. Palm leaves were most widely used in India for manuscripts, which were prepared by drying palm tree leaves.
