Detailed Solution

Masulipatnam was a Fish-Port town located on Krishna river. It was a hub of bustling activity in the seventeenth century. Masulipatnam evolved into the most significant port on the Andhra coast, and both the Dutch and English East India Companies made attempts to take control of it. The Dutch erected the fort at Masulipatnam. To stop the commerce from going entirely into the hands of the numerous East India Companies, the Qutb Shahi rulers of Golconda enacted royal monopolies on the sale of textiles, spices, and other goods.
