If $x^{5} + 5 q x + 4 r$ is divisible by ${(x - 2)}^{2} .$ Find the value of $q$ and $r .$
$p (x) = x^{5} - 5 q x + 4 r$ is divisible by $(x - 2)$
$p (2) = 0 \Rightarrow 32 - 10 q + 4 r = 0$
$5 q = 16 + 2 r$
$p (x) = x^{5} - 16 x - 2 r x + 4 r$
$= x (x^{2} + 4) (x + 2) (x - 2) - 2 r (x - 2)$
$= (x - 2) [x (x + 2) (x^{2} + 4) - 2 r]$
Let $Q (x) = x (x + 2) (x^{2} + 4) - 2 r$
Again $Q (x)$ is divisible by $x - 2$ and by factor theorem
$Q (2) = 0$
$2.4.8 - 2 r = 0 \Rightarrow r = 32 a n d q = 16$
