1)      Regular Police: The regular uniformed police force of Nazi Germany was known as the Ordnungspolizei or Orpo. Because of their green uniforms, they were also referred to as the Green police.
2)      SA: The Sturm Abteilung, or SA for short, was the paramilitary wing of the Nazi Party, often called Storm Troopers. Due to its brown attire and 1921 founding, the SA earned the nickname "brownshirts." The SA were mainly in charge of guarding prominent Nazis and interfering with gatherings of other political opponents.
3)      SS: Hitler founded the SS, sometimes known as the Schutzstaffel. Initially formed as Hitler's bodyguards, the SS eventually came to oversee the security of the whole Third Reich. Therefore, they were referred to as protection squads.
4)      Gestapo: Nazi Germany's secret police, known as the Gestapo, was its primary instrument of oppression and destruction. It targeted Jews, Germans, and other regime opponents.
