1)      In 1930, Gandhiji launched the Civil Disobedience Movement with the proclamation of the Salt March or Dandi March 1930.
2)      Gandhiji called off the non-cooperation movement against the mishappening of the Chauri Chaura incident in 1922.
3)      In Feb 1919, the Rowlatt act was passed. Because of this act, on the day of Baisakhi, many people were killed in Amritsar under the orders of General Dyer, which came to be known as the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Punjab.
