Detailed Solution

On January 18, 1871, in the Palace of Versailles in France, Germany was formally unified into the German Empire, a Prussian-dominated nation-state with federal characteristics.
The Estates General in 1789 marked the beginning of the French Revolution, which lasted until the establishment of the French Consulate in November 1799. During this time, France saw a significant political and social change.
The Vienna Congress was hosted by the Austrian Chancellor, Duke Metternich, which led to the formal agreement of the Treaty of Vienna of 1815. The treaty was drawn to undo all the changes brought about in Europe during the reign of the Napolean wars.   The Ballhausplatz edifice had one of its best periods in 1814 and 1815 when it served as the centre of European politics. In order to control customs and economic policies inside their borders, the German states founded the Zollverein or German Customs Union. It was formally launched on January 1, 1834, and was organised by the 1833 Zollverein treaties.
