 Polynucleotide phosphorylase also known as severo ochao enzyme was discovered by Severo Ochoa. tRNA is the molecule that reads the code of DNA on one hand and gather the specific amino acid on the other hand. George Gamow, a physicist, argued that since there are only 4 bases and if they have to code for 20 amino acids, the code should constitute a combination of bases.
