Detailed Solution

1)      Cover mostly the southern slopes of the Himalayas: The southern slopes of the Himalayas, located in Southern and northeastern India, are primarily covered with Montane forests. Temperate grasslands are frequent at higher altitudes.
2)      Deltas of the Ganga, the Mahanadi, the Krishna, and the Godavari: Mangrove tidal forests are present along tide-influenced beaches. On these shores, mud and silt accumulate. The most typical types of mangroves have plant roots submerged in water. Such vegetation is present in the Ganga, Mahanadi, Krishna, Godavari, and Kaveri deltas.
3)      North Western parts of the country include Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh: Thorny trees and bushes make up the natural vegetation in areas with less than 70 cm of annual rainfall. This kind of vegetation is present in the semi-arid regions of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana in the country's northwest.
4)      North Eastern states like Jharkhand, West Odisha, and Chhattisgarh: Tropical Deciduous forests found in regions with 200–100 cm of annual rainfall.
