Detailed Solution

Diatoms have silica in their cell walls. They are major producers in oceans. They multiply with transverse binary fission. Diatoms show gliding movements. Auxospores of daitoms are specialised cells that help in dormancy, sexal reproduction and growth. Dinoflagellates are mostly marine, have thick cellulosic plates with two flagella and are of various colours and cause red tides. Euglenoids live in fresh water and have pellicle instead of cell wall. Euglena contain pigments like chlorophyll, a and b. Euglena possess two unequal flagella and pyrenoids. Protozoans are animal protists. Some of them pocess cilia and some members have flagella. They are non green and do not have cell wall.
