1)      Jawaharlal Nehru started visiting the villages in Awadh in June 1920 to talk to the locals and learn about their problems. By October, Jawaharlal Nehru, Baba Ramchandra, and a few others had organised the Oudh Kisan Sabha.
2)      In 1921, the Khilafat Movement and non-cooperation were established.
3)      Nehru sought "Poorna Swaraj," or total self-rule, on the banks of the Ravi river on December 31, 1929. The date for independence was chosen as January 26, 1930.
4)      Gandhi arrived in Dandi on April 6 and broke the law by heating seawater to make salt. This catalysed civil disobedience.
5)      The Indian nationalist movement leader Mohandas K. Gandhi and Lord Irwin signed the Gandhi-Irwin Pact on March 5, 1931.
