Detailed Solution

The matter is easy to compress gaseous matter. The arrangement of the particles as well as the intermolecular forces determine the various states of matter.

The three states of matter are solid, liquid, and gas. We can change the physical circumstances, such as temperature and pressure, to change one state into another.

Solids are distinguished by their strong atomic bonds and high viscosity.

The liquid state of matter is almost an incompressible fluid with a fixed volume that adopts the shape of the container it is placed in. Compared to solids, intermolecular forces are weaker. The ability for the liquid to flow depends on the amount of intermolecular space.

Since there are few intermolecular forces and wide intermolecular distances between the molecules, the molecules in the gaseous state now have significant kinetic energy. They don't have a set volume or shape. They have strong thermal expansion and compressibility.

Hence, the answer is the gaseous state.
