Detailed Solution

Mehrunnisa married the emperor Jahangir.
In 1611, Mehrunnisa wed Jahangir, the Emperor, and was given the title Nur Jahan. She continued to be the monarch's fiercest ally and supporter. As a symbol of respect, Jahangir produced silver coins with the inscription "struck in the name of Queen Begum, Nur Jahan" on one side and his titles on the other. In Jahangir's court, NurJahan had a tremendous amount of influence. She used to be at court while the Emperor presided, and when the Emperor was ill, she even used to preside independently. She was the only empress of the Mughals whose name was imprinted on coins.
