When a metal wire is heated, its resistance increase because it is a conductor. But in case of a conductor being heated, the resistance decrease due to jumping of electrons from valence band to conduction band. Therefore, to attain balance on the meter bridge, length of the left side should be increased and the right side length is to be decreased. That means the balance point shifts towards right.
