One of the world's earliest civilizations is the Indus Valley Civilization, sometimes referred to as the Harappan Civilization or Bronze Age Civilization. The civilization's nuclear dates indicate that it existed between 2500 and 1750 BC. The earliest Indus site was named "Harappa" and was found in 1921 by Dayaram Sahni. Rakhal Das Banerjee excavated "Mohenjodaro," the greatest site of the civilization, in 1922. These two sites, Mohenjodaro and Harappa, are presently found in Pakistan, in the districts of Sahiwal and Larkana, respectively.
The Indus Valley's metallurgists worked with metals like copper, lead, gold, bronze, and silver. Here, several copper slag crucibles are found, which is the first evidence of metallurgy.
Gold and silver were used as ornaments throughout this time.
