Microliths are the stone tools of the middle stone age, which is also called the Mesolithic period. A microlith is a tiny stone tool that is commonly constructed of chert or flint. It is normally around a centimetre long and half a centimetre wide. People created them in Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia between 35,000 and 3,000 years ago.
