Detailed Solution

Mir Jafar was replaced with Mir Qasim by the British because, after the defeat of Siraj, Mir Jafar was placed on the throne of Bengal, but all power was in the hands of the Britishers. Mir Jafar was only a puppet for Britishers who worked accordingly. However, he wanted to raise his voice against the East India Company, so he allied with the Dutch East India Company. Mir Qasim was the son-in-law of Mir Jafar, and therefore, this was the reason that the British East India Company replaced Mir Jafar with Mir Qasim.
