Detailed Solution

Mirabeau and Abbe Sieyes were the leaders of the National Assembly of France which was formed in Versailles.
In the past, voting in the Estates-General was done on the basis that each estate had one vote. Louis XVI was adamant about continuing the practice. However, members of the third estate insisted that voting be conducted by the assembly as a whole, with each member having one vote. When the king rejected this idea, members of the third estate protested by walking out of the assembly. The third estate representatives saw themselves as the voice of the entire French nation. They met on the 20th of June in the hall of an indoor tennis court on the grounds of Versailles. They declared themselves a National Assembly and vowed not to disband until they had produced a constitution for France that limited the monarch's powers. Mirabeau and Abbe Sieyes were in charge. Mirabeau was born into a noble family but was convinced of the need to abolish a feudal society. He carried out a journal and offered stirring addresses to the assembled masses at Versailles.
