Concept- Uneven spots on the leaves of the plant are called mottling. Zn deficiency in plants causes a mottling of leaves. It causes uneven, yellow spots upon pointed and reduced leaves.
Zinc deficiency in citrus plant result in chlorosis in which leaves of the citrus plant are not able to produce chlorophyll that, lead to discolouration of the leaves, therefore mottle or discoloured leaves of the citrus is due to the deficiency of the zinc mineral in the plant.
