So, The estimated cost of the electric guitar to the nearest ten is ₹210.

In 290, the digit at ones place is 0 which is less than 5, then the digit at the units place becomes 0 and the tens digit remains the same.

The estimated cost of the bass guitar is ₹290.

Thus, estimated amount paid = ₹210 + ₹290 = ₹500.

Another way of finding the answer.

The total amount to be paid = cost of electric guitar + bass guitar = 205+290= 495.

In 495, the digit at ones place is 5 which is equal to 5, then the digit at the units place becomes 0 and the tens digit is increased by 1.

Thus the estimated cost to be paid= 500.
