Mughals were proud of their Timurid ancestry. The Mughals were the descendants of two rulers. From their mother’s side, they belong to the lineage of Genghis Khan. Genghis Khan was the ruler of the Mongol tribes from China and Central Asia. However, the Mughals were not pleased to be called Mughals or Mongols because of Genghis Khan’s infamous glory.
