Detailed Solution

Mughals were the descendants of Timurid.
The Mughals were descended from two powerful ruler families. They were descended from Genghis Khan (who died in 1227), the Mongol tribes' ruler, on their mother's side. They were descended from Timur (who died in 1404), the ruler of Iran, Iraq, and modern-day Turkey. The Mughals, on the other hand, did not like being called Mughal or Mongol. This was because Genghis Khan's name was associated with the slaughter of countless people. It was also linked to the Uzbeks, their Mongol rivals. On the other hand, the Mughals were proud of their Timurid ancestry because it had earned a good reputation in history.
