Detailed Solution

Muhammad bin Tughluq made Daulatabad his new capital.
Muhammad bin Tughluq gave the orders to relocate his capital from Delhi to Daulatabad, also known as Devagiri or Deogir, in the Deccan area of India, which is situated in present day Maharashtra. During his father's rule, Muhammad bin Tughlaq himself had spent a number of years as a prince on a campaign in the southern states. Additionally, Daulatabad was strategically located to allow for the administration of both the north and the south. However, Muhammad Tughlaq abandoned Daulatabad after a couple of years mostly because he realised that he couldn't control the north from Daulatabad and the southern region from Delhi.
