Detailed Solution

The river Narmada has its source situated at Amarkantak. The Narmada River, originally known as Narbada and also known as Reva. In Madhya Pradesh's Anuppur area, the Amarkantak Plateau is where the Narmada originates. It runs more than 1,312 kilometres west before crossing the Gulf of Khambhat into the Arabian Sea, forming the ancient boundary between North India and South India. The Narmada River originates in a small dam named Narmada Kund, situated in the Anuppur area in Amarkantak on the Amarkantak Plateau.
