Assam is the only state in the North-Eastern states that has been fully surveyed for its land use. North East India consists of seven states - Manipur, Assam, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Tripura, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh. All these states are hilly regions of India. Among these states, only Assam has a less hilly area because it has the pains of the Brahmaputra River system. Assam is a hilly and mountainous region with fast-flowing rivers and streams. That makes the terrain of these states extremely difficult. That is why only the Assam surveyed know the land use. The terrain of other states makes this process of land extremely slow and problematic.
