Detailed Solution

The muscle responsible for the point of accommodation of the eye is the ciliary muscle.
When we see distant objects, the ciliary muscles expand to decrease the curvature and thereby increase the focal length of the lens. Hence, the lens becomes thin. This enables us to see distant objects clearly. Thus, the focal length of the eye of the creature's lens increases while seeing distant objects. To see the nearby objects clearly, the focal length of the lens should be shorter. The change in curvature of the eye lens can thus change its focal length. So, the ciliary muscles contract to increase the curvature and decrease the focal length of the lens.
The change in the shape of the lens is controlled by ciliary muscles inside the eye. Or we can say it helps in changing the focal length of the eye lens.
