Detailed Solution

Concept- To overcome this, we must keep in mind the components of alloys and their intended applications. Every alloy has a unique utility because of the unique characteristics it displays when a combination of metals is formed.
Let's talk about the alloys listed in list A, their components, and their purposes in order to answer this problem. Then, we can match them.
The first is stainless steel.
An alloy with an iron basis is stainless steel. It has a chromium content of around 11%, which keeps it from rusting and gives it heat-resistant qualities. Additionally, it has 0.03% to 1% carbon. Copper, nickel, silicon, molybdenum, and other elements are present in various varieties of stainless steel. However, nickel is the most frequent component, which gives it its mechanical strength and increases corrosion resistance. Due to its durability and resistance to rust, it is used to make surgical equipment.
Alnico comes next.
Another alloy with an iron basis is alnico. The three primary components are 8–12% aluminium, 15–26% nickel, and 5-24% cobalt. In addition to these, it also includes 6% cobalt, 1% titanium, and the remainder is iron. The word alnico is an abbreviation for aluminium (Al) , nickel (Ni) , and cobalt (Co).
Permanent magnets are made from ferromagnetic alnico alloys.
Then there is Invar steel.
It is an alloy of nickel and iron. 64% iron and 36% nickel are present. It stands out for having a low temperature coefficient. Since it does not alter in size with changes in temperature, the name invar is derived from the word invariable.
It is utilised in applications requiring high dimensional stability, such as clocks and precise equipment.

List - A

List - B

List - C

A. Stainless steel

b. Iron + carbon + chromium + nickel

iii. Surgical instruments

B. Alnico

a. Iron + nickel + aluminium + cobalt

v. Permanent magnets

C. Invar steel

d. Iron + carbon + nickel (large quantity)

vi. Precision measuring instruments

D. Brass

f. Copper + zinc

i. Electrical contact part.

Hence, option 1 is correct.
