Detailed Solution

The steel plant marked in the given map of India is Bokaro.
The Bokaro Steel plant, known as India’s first Swadeshi steel plant, was set up in 1964 as a limited company. Built-in collaboration with the Soviet Union, the steel plant in Jharkhand was later merged as a subsidiary of SAIL (Steel Authority of India Limited). It was the fourth public sector integrated plant. The plant was constructed with maximum use of indigenous materials and investments. It is located alongside the river Damodar. Bokaro was the first thermal power station by the Damodar Valley Corporation. The steel plant is one of the biggest in India, with a basic oxygen furnace and a blast furnace.
