Detailed Solution

National Highway 7 is the longest highway in India.
The 2,369 km road is India's longest national highway and one of the most important road networks between South and North India. According to recent highway number rationalisation, there is a proposal to change the name of this highway to  NH 44, but according to official government records, it is still called NH 7. It crosses six states and connects major Indian cities such as Varanasi, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Madurai. In the upper reaches of the Himalayas, where Route 7 passes, roads are generally closed during the winter months of December, January, February, and March. This road leads to Mana pass near the border between India and Tibet.
