Detailed Solution

Nehru formalised the demand for ‘Purna Swaraj’ at the Lahore Congress Session.
The Indian National Congress used the Indian National Congress's proclamation under the influence of Jawahar Lal Nehru in a Lahore session. In December 1929, under the presidency of Jawaharlal Nehru, the Lahore Congress formally adopted the need for 'Purna Swaraj', or India's complete independence. It was announced that January 26, 1930, would be celebrated as Freedom Day when the people would commit themselves to the struggle for total freedom. The Indian flag was hoisted by Jawaharlal Nehru on December 31, 1929, on the banks of the Ravi River in Lahore. Congress also called on Indians to celebrate January 26 as Independence Day. The Indian flag was hoisted publicly throughout India by volunteers from Congress, Nehru, and other nationalities and communities.
