Detailed Solution

Neural canal is found in vertebra.

The neural canal is a hollow, tube-like space that runs through the center of each vertebra. It is formed by the alignment of the vertebral foramina of all the vertebrae stacked on top of each other. The vertebral foramina are the openings on the posterior (back) surface of each vertebra that, when aligned, create the continuous neural canal.

The primary function of the neural canal is to house and protect the spinal cord, as well as the meninges (protective layers around the spinal cord), and the cerebrospinal fluid that surrounds and cushions the spinal cord and the brain.
