Law: The rate of change of momentum of an object is proportional to the applied force and occurs in the direction of the force.

Formula: F = m × a 

where:

• F = Force (Newtons)
• m = Mass (kg)
• a = Acceleration (m/s²)

Example: Pushing a car: heavier the car, more force needed to accelerate.
