Detailed Solution

Nissl’s granules are absent in axon, axon terminals, Schwann cells.

They are present in the cytoplasm of cyton and dendrites of neurons. They are clusters of rough endoplasmic reticulum, termed Nissl bodies. They are the sites of protein synthesis. Newly synthesised proteins produced by Nissl bodies are used to replace cellular components, as material for growth of neurons, and to regenerate damaged axons in the PNS.
