Detailed Solution

Nizam-ul-Mulk Asaf Jah was the founder of Hyderabad state. He was an influential member of the Mughal Emperor Farrukh Siyar's court. Before being awarded control of the Deccan, he was initially given the governorship of Awadh. Asaf Jah already had complete authority over the political and monetary management of the Deccan provinces because he was the Mughal administrator of those regions. Asaf Jah brought competent troops and administrators from northern India who appreciated the new chances in the south.
