Nizam-ul-Mulk Asaf Jah was the founder of the Hyderabad province. The Mughal Emperor Farrukh Siyar's court included Asaf Jah, who formed the region of Hyderabad. He was a prominent person in the court. He took advantage of the turbulence in the Deccan and the conflicts between the aristocracy to seize power. He subsequently officially took over as the province's ruler. He brought officials and soldiers from north India. He turned his faithful workers into Mansabdars. He was quite self-sufficient in his profession and rarely asked Delhi for advice. The Mughal Emperor was accustomed to approving his own choices.
