Detailed Solution

Nizam-ul-Mulk founded Hyderabad.
Hyderabad was a successor state in Deccan, founded by Asaf Jah or Nizam-ul-Mulk. After the death of Aurangzeb, the Mughal rule weakened and started to disintegrate. This led to the formation of successor states. Hyderabad was one such successor state in Deccan. Asaf Jah, or Nizam-ul-Mulk, belonged to the nobility of the Mughals and was one of the most important members of the court of the Mughal ruler, Farrukksiyar. He was initially appointed as the governor of the Deccan. After having established his powers among the Deccan regions, he gathered power and seceded from the Mughal rule. He appointed officials and started to rule under his name. Later, the Mughal emperor confirmed the rule of Nizam-ul-Mulk.
