Detailed Solution

Objects which cannot emit light on their own are called Non-luminous objects.
Luminous objects do not need another source to emit light; they can emit light on their own, like stars, the sun, burning candles, etc. At the same time, objects which can reflect light from other sources or which doesn't produce light are called non-luminous objects. For example, the moon does not have its light as a source, reflecting light from the sun, and planets are also non-luminous objects.
