Detailed Solution

Concept- Concept of linear equation in one variable is applicable, where one number is considered to be x and rest of the numbers can be assumed to be x+1 and x+2, and then proceed by forming the required equations.
Let the three consecutive natural numbers be
x,x+1,x+2
Here the greatest number
= x+2
Middle number
= x+1
And smallest number
= x
Given that, five times of the smallest number is 9 more than four times the greatest number.
So, we have
⇒5x = 4(x+2)+9
⇒5x = 4x+8+9
⇒5x−4x=17
∴ x=17
Thus, we have
⇒ x=17
⇒ x+1 =  17+1 = 18
⇒ x+2 =17+2 =19
Therefore, the consecutive three natural numbers happen to be 17, 18 and 19.
Hence, the current option is 2.
