Inamgaon is located on the river Ghod,
It is a site occupied between 3600 and 2700 years ago. Archaeologists have found burials of adults in the ground, laid out straight, with the head towards the north. Archaeologists have found a man buried cross-legged in a large, four-legged clay jar in the courtyard of a five-roomed house in the centre of the settlement. Archaeologists have found evidence of crops like- wheat, barley, rice, pulses, millets, peas, and wounded bones of several animals which they perhaps consumed- cattle, buffalo, goat, dog, horse, and pig, alongside birds, crocodiles, turtles, crabs, and fish, there are sambhar, antelope, hare, and mongooses. People collected fruits such as ber, amla, Jamun, dates and berries.
