One flagellum is arranged perpendicular to another flagellum in the following flagellates of Protista.

In Dinoflagellates the flagella are arranged on the ventral side. One is present in the circular grove and the another one in the longitudinal groove. These are perpendicular to each other. Euglenoids have two flagella in the anterior depression. Diatoms do not have flagella. Flagellated protozoans have only one flagellum.
