Detailed Solution

Only 20 per cent of India's farmers have enough land.
Agricultural labourers' families account for nearly two out of every five rural Indian families. They all rely on their work in other people's fields to make a living. Many of them are landless, while others may own small plots of land. Small farmers have barely enough land to meet their needs. This group accounts for 80 per cent of Indian farmers. Only 20% of farmers in India own sufficient land. These large farmers farm the majority of the land in the villages.
