Amino acids are mono or dicarboxylic acids. Their general formula is R-CH-NH₂-COOH. They are made up of C, H, O, N and some of them contains ‘S’ also. In the basic structure of amino acid, four positions are present. They are hydrogen, carboxyl group, amino group and R-group.
