Detailed Solution

Other than Hindi, 21 languages are recognised as Scheduled Languages by the Constitution. When the Constitution was getting framed after getting freedom from the Britishers, constitution-makers took up the concern of languages. Considering the diversity of India and among thousands of languages, 21 languages were regarded as scheduled languages, and they were written in the Constitution. The meaning of scheduled languages means that other than the official language, which is Hindi, the scheduled languages can be used for the authorised intention. This was done to represent all the languages and for efficient work, as people are most comfortable working in their mother tongue only. For all this purpose, 22 (including Hindi) different languages were scheduled in the Constitution of India.
