Detailed Solution

During breastfeeding, oxytocin is released in response to stimuli such as the baby suckling at the breast. The release of oxytocin causes the contraction of the muscle cells surrounding the mammary tubules and ducts, leading to the ejection of milk from the alveoli into the ducts and out of the nipple. This process is often referred to as the let-down reflex or milk ejection reflex. So, oxytocin's action on mammary tubules facilitates milk expulsion during breastfeeding.
