Pancreas secrete insulin and glucagon hormones.

Insulin is a hormone which helps in regulating blood sugar levels. When blood sugar rises, insulin helps to convert the glucose to glycogen. If it is not secreted in proper amounts, the sugar level in the blood rises causing various side effects or in worst case leading to stroke and other such fatal complications.
Glucagon on the other hand converts glycogen to glucose thereby increasing the blood sugar level as and when required.
