Passage : i) Additive inverse : For every number $\text{'}a\text{'}$  in the set $P$ , if there exists $\text{'}b\text{'}$  in $P$  such that

$a+b=b+a=0$ , then $b$  is called additive inverse of $\text{'}a\text{'}$ .

ii) Multiplicative inverse : For every non zero number $\text{'}a\text{'}$  in the set $P$ , if there exists $\text{'}b\text{'}$  in $P$  such that

$a\times b=b\times a=1$ , then $b$  is called multiplicative inverse of  $a$ .
