Detailed Solution

In the internal structure of monocot stem, there is no organisation of endodermis, pericycle, medulla in many cases, and medullary rays. Randomly arranged, innumerable vascular bundles have fibrous bundle sheath, with peripheral phloem and inner xylem having 3 or 4 vessels arranged in the form of V or Y. Protoxylem has a lysigenous cavity known as protoxylem lacuna in which water is stored. Peripheral smaller and many vascular bundles have contact with sclerenchymatous hypodermis.
