Detailed Solution

Concept- In this case, change the numbers in the brackets to complete the equation 5 m=60.
As a result, some values are provided here in the bracket. TheQuestion states that we must determine whether the values satisfy the provided equation.
The given equation is 5m=60
There are four values in the bracket, 10,5,12 and 15 .
Let us check if the values satisfy the equation or not.
Now taking the value of Question Image as 10, LHS Question Image, but RHS is 60 .
So, here we can see that Question Image (as we can see above Question Image )______(1)
So, the value of Question Image cannot be 10 , because it does not satisfy the equation.
Now let us check for 5 . Substituting Question Image as 5 , LHS Question Image, and Question Image.
So, we got LHS as 25 and RHS as 60 which are not equal.
So, Question Image (as we can see above Question Image )________(2)
Hence, the value of Question Image cannot be 5 because it does not satisfy the equation.
Now let's check for 12 . Again substituting Question Image as 12 , LHS Question Image, and we have RHS=60.
So, we got LHS as 60 and RHS as 60 , that is equal.
Therefore, LHS=RHS________(3)
So, the value of Question Image can be 12 because it satisfies the equation.
Now taking Question Image as 15 we get, LHS=5m Question Image, and Question Image.
So, we got LHS as 75 and RHS as 60 which are not equal.
So, the value of Question Image cannot be 15 because it does not satisfy the equation.
So, LHS Question Image (as we can see above Question Image )______(4)
The only value other than 12 that satisfies the equation 5 m=60 is the number, as can be seen from (1), (2), (3), and (4).
So, we get the answer as Question Image, but theQuestion explicitly says that we have to pick up the value from the bracket that does not satisfy LHS=RHS this condition.
Hence, the correct answer is option 4.
