Detailed Solution

Plantation workers became emotionally connected to all Indian agitation when they were chanting Gandhiji’s name and demanded Swatantra Bharat. The workers assumed that the end of their worries and suffering was near. Plantation workers felt emotionally connected to the all-India protest as they screamed Gandhiji's name and yelled "Swatantra Bharat." The Inland Emigration Act of 1859 prohibited labourers from leaving the tea estates without authority. As a result, many labourers abandoned the plantations and returned home after refusing to obey the authorities' commands. They acted this way because they knew the Non-Cooperation Movement and expected Gandhi Raj to offer them land in their communities. However, they were merely stopped in the middle and severely assaulted by the police. They went too far by linking the movement with Congress and quoting Gandhi.
