Plants with inferior ovary often bear

The plants which have inferior ovaries often lead to involvement of other structures like the thalamus in the formation of the fruits. They are thus called pseudocarps.

Berries or true berries in general develop from superior ovaries.

The aggregate fruits are formed from polycarpellary, apocarpous ovary and each ripened is called fruitlet or etaerio. The example is raspberry.

Seedless fruits develop without fertilisation of ovule and are parthenocarpic.
