Detailed Solution

Political radicalisation was heightened by the economic crisis of 1923.
Political radicalisation in Germany after the First World War (1914 - 1918) was further heightened by the economic crisis that Germany faced in 1923. The First World War was fought based on loans by Germany. Germany, after the end of the war, had to repay those loans and also had to pay the war reparations imposed on gold. They had previously presumed that they would win. However, the turn of events resulted in the defeat of Germany. Now, the resources were scarce, and the gold reserves were depleting.
